The exercise program at the Integrative Health Center is designed for individuals wanting personalized attention in a private or small group (up to 6 people) class setting. Working in our brand new exercise studio, our expert instructors all have experience working with people suffering from chronic disease and with healthy individuals alike. Our goal is to give our clients a comfortable and safe exercise experience by offering compassionate, effective exercise classes that can improve our clients’ health and overall well-being. Information on Our Classes
Recent studies indicate that the Mind/Body arts of Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung, can be extremely beneficial for general health and well-being, and also for a growing list of illnesses and diseases. We are currently not holding any Tai Chi Classes, but hope to resume this service in the future.
Recent scientific evidence has shown that practicing Yoga can greatly benefit overall quality of life for patients suffering from neurological conditions. Yoga practice involves a mixture of postures, meditation and deep breathing. These aspects of Yoga are associated with improved balance, better sleep, enhanced mood, reduced pain, and better medical outcomes, just to name a few. At Puget Sound Neurology Integrative Health Center, we believe that yoga can be a great benefit to our patients and to others that want a safe, secure, and individualized place to improve their health through this ancient form of exercise. PSN has also joined with the Dystonia Foundation in producing a yoga DVD for patients with movement disorders. This is available for purchase in-clinic or from the foundation website: ST Dystonia, Inc. Website
The Pilates method seeks to develop controlled movement from a strong core and it does this using a range of apparatus to guide and train the body. The Integrative Health Center offers private classes in Pilates throughout the week.
